The #PoliceState cuts off #JulianAssange’s internet access…again

Screenshot 2018-03-29 at 07.32.20Multiple media sources are reporting that Ecuador’s government has suspended internet access for Julian Assange. The WikiLeaks founder and privacy defender has lived in the Ecuadoran embassy in London for the last six years.

The pressure mounting from Great Britain and the European Union has been tremendous, and it looks like Ecuador is starting to cave in.

This was not the first time Ecuador had cut off Mr. Assange: It did so in October 2016, saying it feared being sucked into efforts to interfere in the American election. That was fake news.

Mr. Assange went to the embassy in 2012 to avoid extradition to Sweden to face questioning about rape allegations. The charges were exposed as another example of fake news, and Sweden eventually dropped the matter.
